Software Development Engineer

This is a software maintence and development position, requiring both advanced assembly language skills, and an understanding of the general process of design, layout, and manufacture of modern printed circuit boards.

The successful candidate will maintain and develop the proprietary board level design tools utilized by the DarkStar Hardware development team.

Fluency with the PDP10 architecture and MACRO assembly language is absolutely required.

Duties

• Maintain and improve XKL's proprietary design tools.
• Work closely with hardware engineering to determine forward requirements and meet them.
• Work closely with hardware engineering to rapidly isolate and correct software defects.

Position Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional development experience in the MACRO-10 assembly language.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional development experience using the TOPS20 operating environment.
• A minimum of 2 years of professional development experience using the 'C' programming language, particularly the ´KCC´ implementation, is highly desirable.
• A minimum of 2 year of Unix based software development is highly desirable.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills, eager to communicate plans and ideas, open to feedback.
