How the DarkStar DXM10 works

Two DXM10s provide 100 Gigabytes of high-speed bandwidth.

DarkStar DXM systems help reduce the cost of doing business by cost effectively linking inter-campus and campus datacenters utilizing fiber optics. XKL’s architecture is elegantly simple, providing optical transport with an easy to use router-like management structure.

How the DarkStar DXM10-5R works

Two DXM10-5Rs provide 100 Gigabytes of high-speed bandwidth.

All DXM10-5R systems have integrated fiber path protection with detection and path switching speeds < 20ms. XKL design features allow best in class latency — latency as low as the inherent physics of the fiber itself.

How the DarkStar DBC works

Combine up to four DXMs together to create a 400 Gigabyte network.

The DarkStar Band Combiner passive architecture enables reliable system scalability with continuous network operation. These devices combine or add/drop DXM 10-channel bands, 40 total channels per dark fiber pair.

How the DarkStar Amplifier works

Create long haul networks with the DarkStar EDFA and in-line amplifiers.

Connect DXM optical transport systems with any mix of traffic, such as 1 and 10 gigabit ethernet, OC48/OC192, or fibre channel, separated by up to 2000km. Grow metro networks into regional networks easily and economically.
